Synopsis

Riley Parra: Better Angels follows Detective Riley Parra, who grew up in “No Man’s Land,” the toughest, crime-ridden part of the city. Now a cop working in a corrupt department, Riley is determined to bring justice to her old neighborhood and protect its people. While investigating a brutal murder, she uncovers a hidden supernatural war: No Man’s Land is actually a battleground between angels and demons. As Riley takes on her new role as a “champion” for the side of good, she finds herself balancing the everyday dangers of police work with the responsibilities of fighting against evil itself. The struggle tests her trust in colleagues, romantic entanglements, and understanding of faith.
