The Stay follows two couples who rent a secluded country house for a weekend getaway. Their plans for relaxation are quickly interrupted by the appearance of an odd, unsettling caretaker who seems to know more than he lets on. As the tension grows, hidden secrets and paranoia drive a wedge between the friends, turning the rural retreat into a fight for survival when it’s revealed that there’s a dangerous secret lurking in the house. The movie blends elements of suspense, psychological mind-games, and classic “strangers in a strange place” horror.
