Synopsis

Set against the legendary siege of Kazan by Ivan the Terrible, this light-hearted adventure weaves together myth, history, and comedy. The beautiful khansha Syuyumbike, desperate to protect her people’s legacy, orders that the kingdom’s immense riches be hidden in Lake Kaban. The secret is entrusted to Azim, an unlikely hero who stumbles into the treasury and is sworn to keep the treasure’s location a secret for centuries. Five hundred years pass, and the story picks up in the present day when playboy Kirill Nikolaev and his companion Gulnara set out on a wild chase across Kazan to find the fabled treasure. Blending slapstick humor and historical references, their journey is filled with local folklore, romance, and self-discovery as they step into the shadow of a centuries-old legend.
