Synopsis

Insane brings a lurid, pulp-inspired blend of action, ultra-violence, dark comedy, and outlandish characters to a small Italian village. The plot centers on Condom—a sadomasochistic weirdo and unpredictable psycho killer with an over-the-top personality (likened to a homegrown Jim Carrey by Italian reviewers). Fleeing from the mafia he once worked for, Condom is sent to eliminate a professional killer named Frank. Around them swirls an ensemble of crooked cops, the seductive “noir panther” Katia, and an array of eccentric misfits, all caught in a web of revenge, betrayal, and bloody confrontations.

The film stands out for its extreme, intentionally cartoonish violence, black humor, and deliberately “insane” energy.
