Deewane Pyar Mein is the Hindi-dubbed version of the 1998 Kannada romantic drama Shanti Shanti Shanti, directed by T. B. Srinivas. The film stars Abbas as Raju, R. Madhavan as Siddhartha, and Prakash Raj as Ganga Prasad, with Prema, Avni Vasa, and Satish Shah in important roles. It tells the story of two siblings who strive to fulfill their dreams despite their father’s refusal to support them financially. They befriend Raju, a poor man who promises to help them achieve their goals. Known for its innovative production values, Shanti Shanti Shanti was the first Kannada film to have a website and six-track DTS sound, featuring cinematography by P. C. Sriram and music by Sandeep Chowta.
